Business Analyst (payments)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives within the Global Cash Management transformation program.
  • Take ownership of specific workstreams, particularly in Digital Currency, payables, receivables, and payments modernization.
  • Document the business vision, requirements, and process flows for new products and services.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment across business, IT, legal, compliance, operations, and executive governance bodies.
  • Prepare and maintain key deliverables: roadmaps, KPIs, financial summaries, risk registers, and governance reports for senior committees.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and central IT to ensure solution fit and timely delivery.
  • Lead workshops, gather business needs, and validate solutions with internal and external customers.
  • Manage validation processes, including UAT coordination and documentation.
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, quality issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and enterprise governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hard Skills

  • Business Analysis: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex, project-driven environments.
  • Banking & Payments Expertise: Strong knowledge of Corporate Cash Management, international payments ecosystems, and treasury operations.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to engage effectively with IT teams on system design, APIs, data models, and SDLC processes.
  • Tools: Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, or similar requirements and project management tools.
  • Documentation: Skilled in producing clear, structured deliverables (BRDs, FRDs, process maps, etc.).

Domain Knowledge

  • Mandatory: Experience in banking, payments management, and financial services.
  • Preferred: Understanding of correspondent banking models, SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, and digital currency (CBDCs, tokenization, blockchain applications).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services
