Optimus IT Services is looking for an Excel Wizard with a strong financial and analytical mindset to support the company’s strategic planning and budgeting. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-level business cases, budget plans, and integrating financial data into an overarching 5-year strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Business Cases
- Develop detailed financial business cases that align with the company’s strategic priorities.
- Integrate business cases with budget plans to form a comprehensive financial strategy.
- Ensure the financial roadmap supports the company’s growth and resilience objectives.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
Budget Management & Data Integration
- Create and manage an overarching multi-year budget that aligns with business objectives.
- Validate financial models and assumptions with business owners and finance teams.
- Ensure financial data consolidation and consistency across multiple business units.
- Utilize Excel and reporting tools to visualize and present financial insights.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with finance and business teams to refine financial models.
- Present strategic financial insights to key stakeholders.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of financial processes and assumptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Specific Skills
- Financial Expertise: Strong experience as a controller or financial expert.
- Excel Mastery: Proven expert-level proficiency in Excel for data analysis and modeling.
- Business Case Development: Ability to create high-level business cases and integrate them with budgets.
- Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate and present financial insights clearly.
- Independent Thinker: Comfortable making financial assumptions and working autonomously.
General Skills
- BI Consultant Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Management.
- ETL & Reporting Tools: Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Requirements Analysis: Ability to assess financial requirements and optimize reporting structures.
- Higher Education: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Language Proficiency: Dutch at European CEFR Level C2.
