Infrastructure – Operational Security Engineer (Network)

Hybrid (50% On-site, 50% Remote)

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Firewall Rules Review: Assess and analyze current firewall rules, focusing on identifying overly permissive or forbidden flows.
• Rules Creation & Implementation: Collaborate with country Production Security teams to define and implement security rules.
• Network Diagram & VLAN Inventory: Maintain an up-to-date network diagram and manage the inventory of VLANs.
• Matrix Creation: Define standard flows and create a matrix of allowed protocols and rules between VLANs.
• IDS/IPS Coordination: Lead the coordination for implementing Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Act as the primary liaison between Business IT and Producer IT teams.
• Anti-DDoS to Akamai Migration: Coordinate the migration from Anti-DDoS solutions to Akamai.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.

Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Experience

• Business Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a network engineering or security role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Firewall (Mandatory)
  • Network (Mandatory)
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) (Optional)
  • IDS/IPS (Optional)
  • Proxy (Optional)
  • Akamai (Optional)
  • Experience with IBM Cloud and micro-segmentation is a plus (Optional)
